Everyone should have the ability to enjoy fashion. Targeting people with Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), I created the project ‘Visual Offset’. BDD is a mental health condition where people spend much time worrying about their appearance. To solve this problem using fashion, I utilized lines, colors, and shapes to first off-set the visual balance of an attire while also diverting attention away from the center of the body. This allowed people with BDD to feel more confident embracing fashion, knowing that the center of focus is not on their main body.
